Short Post

Here are a few things I've been working on. I finally finished my first BMFA sock kit the last week in April just before the new kit arrived. The new kit has the new BMFA sock yarn Silky. It is a superwash Merino wool with some silk. It is really soft and pretty. I haven't started it yet but my plan is to make knee highs for my daughter to wear to school next year. In addition, I started some mittens to be made from my latest addition to my knitting book library, Selbuvotter. But, they been put on hold because I am finishing up a sweater I started last year. I think I will have the sweater finished by the end of this week. And, then I will cast on Simple Tee from Fitted Knits. Yes, another book to add to my knitting library.

I bought some wool ease cotton for the project. I read good reviews on it. so, I thought I would give it a try.

Finally, I started spinning some lace weight yarn to make a shawl. The pattern is from Fiber Trends and is called Field of Flowers. It is an easy pattern so far I just hope to have it finished before the end of summer.
