Well it is suppose to be spring but I don't know. Where did all this snow come from? I think Mother Nature is having a laugh. Oh well, it will just give me more time to finish and wear some lingering WIP. By the way I need to finish the neck on the Lion Neck Cardigan from Custom Knits and the neck on the cover sweater from Glam Knits. As you can probably tell I don't much care for doing the neckline. So whilst waiting to finish off the those sweaters, I started Satine from French Girl Knits. It is a really easy pattern. It would be done by now but I knitted 10 inches before realizing the sweater was twisted when I first started knitting in the round. So I had to carefully rip back 10 inches of Mohair lace. Now things are trekking along nice. It will be done by the end of the week. I did finish my daughter's shrug and she loves it. I put mine on hold again as I don't like working with yarn it is knitted with. It is some Alpaca blend from Elann. I found it really boring. I did make another wristlet and some crocheted earrings as gifts. I 've not heard yet what people think of the earrings. I made myself a pair and love them. I think I am going to make myself a rainbow of colors.

I've started a new hobby, yarn show and tell and book reviews on my next post.

By for now!

P.S. Sorry for the side view photos I am still learning how to use my photo software and I promise to learn how to link information.

Slow Week

This week was a slow week for me craft wise. I was very sick. I manged to finish off a wristlet and ship it off and I made myself a new sock bag.
In addition, as the week progressed and I started feeling better, I was able to knit my daughter a lovely purple shrug. Her shrug was so darn cute I wanted to make myself one. But, because funds are running low due to an expensive plumbing problem and nor did I have the patient to start something new. I decided to search through once loved wip and found something to re purpose into a shrug. Well, really a mini Cardi. I think after a certain age and weight a mini cardi is more appropriate. I will post pictures later.

Well, have a good weekend!

I have been doing a little bit of sewing and crocheting these days. I am making and sending handmade gifts to the women in my family. For the last couple of years, I have been doing a very poor job with keeping in touch with my family since I moved from California. It seemed like the only time we communicated was during the holidays or when someone in the family died. So, I decided enough is enough. I told myself I need to make a better effort with keeping in touch with the women in my family . To be honest with you it just isn't limited to the women in my family but women who have touched my life. So, by sending these gifts with a simple handwritten note I thought this would be a great way to start.
