Summer Days

Today, the kids and I visited a local vegetable and fruit stand. They had ton of yummy things. Of course, the kids wouldn't agree that they had a ton of yummy things unless your referring to carrots, watermelon, and blueberries or perhaps a potato if it is fried and made by Mc Donald's. The veggies in the dinky boxes are from my garden.

In sewing news, I am finishing up on a baby quilt that I started over a year ago. It has taken me a year and a ton of you tube hours to work up the nerve to finish it. I was afraid of the binding more specifically the mitred corners. The baby is walking now, so it may be too small. We will see.

Patchwork

I sewed a few pillows over the weekend. They are colorful and fun. I made some for my little sofa and of course the kids loved them a wanted one of there own. So, I made some for them too.







I haven't done as much clothes sewing as I would of liked this summer. I did manage finish this top. http://www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?crit=1035&id=1135&StartRow=1. I think this top is the best I've sewed to date. It really looks nicley made. I hope it hold up in the wash.
