Finished!

Yes, I am so happy that I finished my Swallowtail shawl. It is my first completed lace shawl and I used my own handspun yarn. I am so proud of myself because despite my many obstacles ( knitting in garter stitch instead of stockinette, only reading the chart right to left, yarn breaking as I'm knitting, wonky blocking) it came out fine. Now I am struggling with am I going to give it to my favorite aunt or keep it for myself. I will have to sleep on that.

Back from Vegas!

Well, I am back from Las Vegas. I had a great time. I didn't post about previously as I was too busy. But, I met my sister-in-law out there and we had kinda of a mothers get away. We stayed at the lovely Wynn Hotel and Casino. The Wynn is like the best luxury hotel in Las Vegas. In addition, we had Spa treatments and saw the musical Spamalot which is based off the Monty Pythons Holy Grail.

Since I have been home, it has been kinda hard to get any knitting done. Between reading last installment of Harry Potter and playing Webkinz not much knitting has been getting done.

I am still working on finishing up Swallowtail shawl. I only have the edging border to finish and bind off. It has been a challenge to say the least. I will post about it later.
