Quilt

I finished the the binding for the Baby quilt I started almost two years ago. The binding went on pretty easy. The corners were a bit tricky but not bad. Like most things, it just takes practice. I decided to keep the quilt as my son really liked the quilt so now it is on his bed with his favorite pillow and bear.

Bye for now!

Distracted

Well, I was supposed to start my Fair Isle vest this weekend, but I got distracted. I wanted to finish up a shawlette that I started a few weeks back. It is my own creation, nothing fancy. As a result of my success, I now have the I need to learn as much as I can on how to make a lace triangle shawl bug. I am really happy as to how it turned out. I ordered a book off of E-bay on designing Triangle Shawls by Evelyn Clark for more information on designing and knitting triangle lace shawls . I know there are probably better books out there. But I wanted something simple and basic. I will post better pictures and detailed information about the pattern and yarn later!

Fall Knitting

I am in the process of planning my fall knitting projects. So far, I knitted a few wool hats for the children and I am working on a shawlette using some sock yarn I got from the Rock n Sock club a few years back. I also what to make some mittens using some hand spun yarn and knit a Fair Isle vest when I receive my Alice Starmore 's book of Fair Isle knitting.
I made a Fair Isle Vest a few years back. It wasn't too bad. In the meantime, I am finishing up Wrenna from French Girl knits. I just need to complete the cap sleeve and weave in the ends.

What are your plans for Fall knitting?
